Craig Cowles, CFP® is the co-founder of Mergent Advisors and the co-creator of the OnePlan™ Strategy — a process designed to help high-income families align college funding, retirement income, and long-term cash flow into one integrated financial roadmap.

Since 2010, Craig has worked closely with professionals, business owners, pilots, and aircraft owners who want to fund their children’s education without compromising their ability to retire with confidence. He specializes in helping clients simplify complex financial decisions and avoid the costly consequences of fragmented planning.

Before founding Mergent Advisors, Craig built a 30+ year career as a professional pilot, flying personally and commercially since 1986. His aviation background sharpened his ability to think in systems, manage risk, and stay calm under pressure — qualities that continue to shape his approach to financial strategy and client relationships.
